Chris Harang

Hitting, Fielding, Pitching

Chris graduated from New Trier High School in 2003.  He was an All-State pick there his senior season while he also broke New Trier’s all time home run record.  Chris received a scholarship to Bradley University before transferring to Northern Iowa Community College in 2005 where he was named All Region.  Chris later made stops at Montana State and Trinity International where he graduated with a degree in finance.

Chris began his coaching career soon after.  He is the former general manager at Frozen Ropes baseball facility.  He has coached travel and high school baseball for the last four years and most recently was the head coach of the Homestead Ranchers.  The Ranchers were a collegiate team made up of Division 1, 2 and 3 players including 2nd round draft pick Charlie Tilson.

Coach Stone’s comments on Chris Harang“I’ve seen Chris teach that last few years at Bash and was always impressed.  Chris ‘gets it.’  He has a great feel of mechanics and really teaches the mental side of baseball well.  This is something I think he learned from experience, having to overcome multiple injuries during his player career.  Chris has great delivery in his lessons which gives him the ability to teach any age group.”
