Hitting, Catching

Dave, from the South Side, played his high school ball at Shepard High School as a catcher and an outfielder.  He soon moved on to North Central College in Naperville where he caught.

Dave has been coaching year round around Chicagoland for the past 10 years as a summer camp instructor, private lesson coach and travel team coach.  He has been active at instruction for the Chicago White Sox Training Academy at US Cellular Field’s Fundamentals Deck.

Coach Stone’s comments on Dave Novak – “I have worked with Dave for the last 8 years and he’s one of my favorite coaches to work with.  Dave has an infectious personality that spreads his passion of baseball to everyone he coaches.  Like a lot of the staff we try to surround ourselves with, Dave is a student of the game.  He is always seeking out knowledge from professionals in the game to better himself as a coach, and therefore, better his players.”
