Mobility Screen

Yanni is a neutral mover.  She shows less than 45 degrees of rotation in both hips, and less than 45 degrees of rotation externally in her left hip, and greater than 45 degrees externally in her right hip. Her t-spine rotation showed greater than 45 degrees of rotation.  Her motor control of her pelvis needs attention in her prep plan, as she struggled with the pelvic rotation test.  During the tilt test, she showed weakness in her lower abdominals.  Her lower body stability and mobility looked good.

KVEST Sequencing & Rotational Speeds

Her K-vest graph is exciting!  Despite that her exit velo is so high, she shows great room for improvement from an efficiency standpoint.  In particular, she needs work improving her deceleration in her swing.  Deceleration of one segment helps accelerate the next segment up the chain to produce more speed.  As you can see on the graph, her pelvis and torso do not decelerate before she impacts the ball.  Her ability to generate 70+ exit velo with this pattern is pretty remarkable.  With increased lower body and rotary stability, her ceiling is sky high.
