Elite Baseball Training Hires Nick Turner as Aurora Operations Manager

AURORA, IL [Date] – Elite Baseball Training is pleased to announce the hiring of Aurora University alumnus, Nick Turner, as the full-time Director of Operations – Aurora. In this role, Turner will serve as the primary point of contact for teams based out of Elite Baseball Training’s Aurora facility and will focus on expanding instructional offerings throughout the year.

Turner brings a strong background in college baseball and experience working with the Naperville Renegades organization. Prior to his time with the Renegades, he worked under Elite Baseball Training Co-Director of Player Development and Director of Hitting Ryan Johansen at Johansen Baseball.

A native of Roselle, IL, Turner attended Lake Park High School, where he was a two-year varsity starter, named All-Conference in his senior year, and recognized on the All-Decade Team. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Coaching and Youth Sports Development from Aurora University, where he was a five-year starter, team captain, and named Freshman of the Year. During his time at Aurora, he also served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, leading community service initiatives and representing the athletic community on campus.

With over 11 years of experience coaching youth baseball, Turner has served as a head coach and hitting instructor for the Naperville Renegades, working with players aged 7-17. He also has prior experience as a paraprofessional in special education classrooms.

Ryan commented on the hiring, stating, “I’m really excited to have Nick on staff; he’s one of those foxhole guys you want around you to make you better.”

The Aurora location will be adding a more robust camp, class, and lesson schedule under Nick’s leadership. Including Ryan Johansen’s Annual Fall Hitting Class.
